Abstract

The education of international students in colleges and universities in China is facing major challenges, and the management of international students from the Belt and Road countries is facing more complicated situations and management difficulties. This study designed a questionnaire with a total of 91 questions from five dimensions, including enrollment management, educational management, student management, foreign affairs management and cultural management. A large scale survey was carried out among the international students from the Belt and Road countries, and 128 valid questionnaires were collected in total. It is found that peer recommendation has a significant impact on the efficiency of international student enrollment; The weak network infrastructure of the Belt and Road countries has become a major difficulty for students staying in their countries during the epidemic. International students from the Belt and Road countries highly recognize the emergency management capabilities of Chinese universities under the impact of the epidemic. Foreign security education has been comprehensively promoted among international students in China. The continuous strengthening of national conditions education has improved the understanding of Chinese culture of international students, and thus significantly promoted their willingness to further study Chinese culture. At the same time, at the current stage, the management of international students from the Belt and Road countries still faces many challenges, such as diversified enrollment channels, transformation of teaching methods, and improvement of service capabilities for international students. It is necessary to continue to promote the reform of international student enrollment examination, strengthen cooperation with countries jointly building the Belt and Road, optimize the structure of student sources, and innovate the education management mode for international students. A set of Belt and Road education management and service mechanism for international students in China has been established to raise the education management practice of international students to a new level.
