Quality of Economic Growth;Comprehensive Evaluation;Pearl River Delta

The paper analyzes the influencing factors of regional economic growth quality in terms of economic vitality, innovation level, coordination ability, green development, openness and people’s life, and uses data visualization and linear regression analysis to make a comprehensive evaluation of the quality of economic growth of the Pearl River Delta cities in recent years. Finally, this paper summarizes the conclusions of the research, and based on the conclusions, feasible suggestions are provided for maintaining high-quality, continuous stable and high-speed economic growth in the PRD(Pearl River Delta) region.
The economic take-off of the Pearl River Delta began in the 1980s. In just 20 years, it has fully transformed from a closed agricultural society into an industrial society, becoming one of the four famous industrial bases in China. With 6% of the China’s population and one-third of its exports, the region, along with the Yangtze River Delta, serve as the two biggest engines of China’s economy. At present, the transformation of economic growth of the whole Pearl River Delta has been transforming from extensive development to intensive development, labor-intensive to capital and technology-intensive, extensive to intensive operation, traditional to modernized industry, and urban-rural separation to urban-rural integration, forming a high starting point of knowledge and technology-intensive industrial system, a high-standard and large-scale tertiary industry as well as a competitive main industrial cluster. In addition, comparative and comprehensive advantages have been developed in transportation, communication, finance, information consulting, high technology, tourism, culture and foreign exchanges.
