Macao is a city known for its diversity, and it is blessed with a rich cultural heritage that includes folk customs. Among these customs, the most prevalent ones are land beliefs and customs.. This belief system embodies the virtues of the Chinese nation, such as respect for nature and a commitment to community harmony. The people of Macao have integrated this belief system into every aspect of their lives, resulting in a plethora of related folk cultural activities. In the long run, the land belief has developed and strengthened the sense of geographical community, promoting cohesion and cultural influence within the community. Now this belief has been listed as a representative national intangible cultural heritage in Macao, and plays a crucial role in preserving local identity, community cultural tradition, and cultural memory
