Abstract

Poverty alleviation is closely related to environmental protection, and ecological poverty alleviation is a prime example of the integration of the two. Although China has entered the post precision poverty alleviation era, poverty still persists, making it essential to examine the issue through an ecological lens. The field of social work has long been dedicated to addressing poverty, and green social work promotes both social and environmental justice, offering fresh perspectives for understanding and resolving poverty. This paper initially assesses the existing model of ecological poverty alleviation in China, highlighting its limitations. It then explores the theory of green social work and its emphasis on poverty alleviation. Finally, it suggests how to implement ecological poverty alleviation practice in the post-precision poverty alleviation era by incorporating the principles of green social work.
