As AI and space technology converge, the strategic focus of global tech competition is shifting from terrestrial computing to orbital intelligence. SpaceX’s integration of xAI and its gigawatt-scale orbital AI data center blueprint mark the full commencement of the“Space + AI”super-platform race. Taking Harbin WeiDASAT—China’s only commercial prime capable of batch-producing communication, navigation, remote sensing, and deep-space probes—and its education arm Huahang Starlink as research subjects, this paper argues that the true foundation of space power lies in transforming industrial sites into educational arenas. It elaborates WeiDASAT’s triple transition from single-satellite development to batch manufacturing to educational responsibility, and constructs the three-tier “Galaxy Class” curriculum system alongside the “Golden Seed Consortium” collaborative ecosystem. Within China’s policy framework integrating commercial aerospace into the space power strategy and listing satellite internet as “new infrastructure”, the paper demonstrates that satellite-building capacity must ultimately anchor in talent-cultivation to forge sustainable national advantage.
