The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) has injected new momentum into the transformation and upgrading of red culture study travel. The Yongjiang River Basin is rich in red cultural resources with profound spiritual connotations. Integrating AI into red culture study travel in this basin plays an important role in enriching the presentation of study content, innovating the study experience, and optimizing the organization and management of study activities, which is of great significance for inheriting red genes, forging the national spirit, and promoting the innovative development of local cultural tourism. At present, problems remain, such as insufficient adaptability between technology and red resources, an imbalance between historical authenticity and value orientation in digital content processing, and an imperfect intelligent management system. In response, this paper proposes strategies including optimizing the adaptability between AI and red resources, balancing historical authenticity and value orientation in digital processing, improving the intelligent management system and collaborative education mechanism, and strengthening the construction of the study-tutor team, with a view to providing references for the high-quality development of red culture study travel in the Yongjiang River Basin in the context of AI.
