Abstract: Wuqia County in Xinjiang features a complex and diverse range of landforms, offering abundant and distinctive resources for geography-based field study. Based on the core competencies of high school geography education, this study establishes objectives and field-study sites, and designs corresponding content, tasks, and activities in accordance with the resources available at each site. An evaluation scale for assessing the achievement of the geography field-study objectives is also developed. The proposed field-study program can serve as a reference for high schools conducting educational field studies in Wuqia County.
