In response to the educational requirements of “simultaneously implementing five‑domain education and holistic education”, Wenhua Primary School in Baiquan County addresses practical challenges in research‑study tour education for county‑level primary schools, including disciplinary fragmentation, superficial scientific inquiry, and insufficient educational effectiveness. Drawing on local county‑level resources, off‑campus popular‑science bases and its own school‑running characteristics, the school has constructed a school‑based system for research‑study tours featuring holistic linkage, interdisciplinary integration and scientific literacy as the core. Taking project‑based research‑study tours as the carrier, the school breaks disciplinary barriers among Science, Chinese, Mathematics, Fine Arts, Labor, and Morality and the Rule of Law. It builds a four‑dimensional educational space covering in‑school curricula, off‑campus research‑study tours, home‑based extension activities and community practice, and forms a closed‑loop implementation path of “pre‑class interdisciplinary collective lesson preparation — field‑based inquiry tours — post‑class diversified achievement transformation — whole‑process comprehensive evaluation”. Practices have verified that interdisciplinary research‑study tours can effectively stimulate students’ awareness of scientific inquiry, evidence‑based thinking and innovative practical capabilities, promote systematic improvement of the school’s holistic education quality, and provide a replicable school‑based model for the development of research‑study tour curricula and the implementation of science education for county‑level primary schools in Northern China.
